AUCTIONS UNLIMITED
In order to bid you must first Register. Its a very simple process - just click on the
REGISTER TO BID
link on the bottom of each page and follow directions.
Handle/Alias refers to the Bidder ID you want to be known by. This cannot be changed once you register - so pick out something you are
going to like or remember. Program will send you an email with your password. You can change your password by clicking on
CHANGE REGISTRATION/PASSWORD link.
Please be sure to fill out the address correctly - Any registration with an incomplete address
will be deleted. If you encounter any problems or are not sure of what to do, please feel free to contact us.
Placing a bid is very easy. Program will prompt you to fill out the correct amount or information.
You can leave a Proxy Bid/Left Bid at the time you bid. That means that if the program calls for a minimum
bid of $100 for example, and you want to leave a higher bid (Proxy/Left Bid), just bid the amount you
are willing to pay for the item. The Program will bid for you only when necessary (if someone outbids you!)
You can bid again and raise your proxy bid/left bid at any time. Auctions Unlimited does not have the resources that
some of the "Big Guys" have, so in order not to "over tax" our system and to make it easier for bidders,
we will stagger the bid closing times by one minute intervals. So, an auction with 120 items will
close over a period of 2 hours. If item number 1 closes at 9PM, then item number 120 will close
at 11PM.
SNIPING (bidding in the last few seconds to outbid somone) is a way of life! So Auctions Unlimited
strongly recommends that you place your bid in ample time before the closing time of an item to avoid
being outbid or shutout all together! The program is fully automated and no one knows what your left
bid is - so please bid with confidence!
Bidding increments are calculated at 10% of the minimum bid (rounded off to the next dollar amount with a $5 minimum).
For example if the minimum bid is $100
then the bid increment is $10, and will remain at $10 regardless of the ultimate hammer price.
Minimum Bid is the least amount Auctions Unlimited will accept to open an item. It is based on the
Estimated Value at the end of each description. For example, if an item has an estimate of $100-150, then
the minimum bid is $50. We do this to give our consignors some degree of assurance that we will not
"give away" their valuable merchandise! Unlike some of the "LIVE" auctions we tell you up front what
the minimum is!
TERMS
Terms are very simple. If you bid, we expect you to pay! You will be billed by email on the following day of the sale (program will notify you if you have won a particular item) - wait for the final invoice with all of your purchases and shipping cost. We ship by USPS - on larger items arrangements will have to be made. Merchandise can be picked up at our office in Port Ewen if that is best for you. Just call for an appointment. Sale items can also be viewed in our office. An appointment is recommended.
We do not accept returns unless something is misrepresented. We try to be accurate in our descriptions, and if we miss something substantially, we will, of course, take it back! Once we pay our consignors, we will not accept returns for any reason (usually 2-3 weeks after end of sale).
We have been doing catalog/mail/internet auctions since 1993. We are a very small operation (me, my wife, and our three cats) No - the cats are not allowed to pack or play with the toys! We intend to stay small, and offer an alternative to the "larger" outfits! We have our own little niche and provide good, interesting sales on a monthly basis.
